January 24, 2007 So here's an interesting little story. I work in a pet store(a job that any five year old longs for) and last week something weird happened. I came in at 6 am as usual and found that the cart we use to transport garbage to the compactor with was melted to a charred black puddle on the floor. The walls and everything around it were charred too. I can't for the life of me figure out how the cart melted. My boss said there wasn't anything in the cart when he left the night before, so what happened is a big mystery. At least that was until this morning. When I came in this morning, I found a lit candle burning in the bathroom where the cart is kept. A BURNING CANDLE! What kind of idiots leave a burning candle unattended, overnight, in a pet store where they know there's loose rats that can tip it over! And they still claim that they don't know how it happened! I just know one of these days I'm going to go to work and find nothing but a charred pit where the store used to be. |
